First of all, you must notify BNP Paribas Cardif (or the representatives of the entity that intermediated the purchase), so that we may honor the provisions of your insurance. We are going to offer our support and guide you through the entire process. On our website you will find general information regarding the claims documentation. As soon as we receive the required documentation, we will initiate the event assesment procedure, the file being solved as soon as possible.

What does "exclusion period" mean?

Exclusion period is a period of time (usually, 90 consecutive days) calculated from the staring date of the Insurance, during which the risk of unemployment is not covered. During this period of time, the insurance indemnity related to this risk is not paid by the insurer.

What does the "waiting period" mean?

The waiting period is a period of time (a certain number of consecutive calendar days) calculated from the date of occurrence of the prolonged medical leave or unemployment, during which these events must occur uninterruptedly. The insurance indemnities for these two events will be calculated and paid after the expiration of the waiting period. During this period of time, the insurance indemnity related to these risks is not paid by the insurer.

When am I entitled to receive the insurance indemnity?

After the insurer receives all the documents needed for analyzing the claim file, the indemnity related to the insured event will be paid within maximum 7 working days, calculated from the moment the insurer receives the last requested document.
